What is Health Matters, Social Media Matters?

Health Matters, Social Media Matters is my campaign to get healthcare professionals onto social media. Although I am currently focusing on dietitians and nutritionists, I am still looking for other healthcare professionals to assist.

How do I plan to do this?

As a social media strategist, I have the knowledge to assist you. Whether you are starting from scratch, need assistance with your blog, or want to build your following on Twitter – I want to help. During this project I will be offering free social media assessments for those who are already set up on social media. Or if you’re just starting out, I can help with that too!

Check out the blog for tips or contact me for more personalised assistance.

As a Social Media MA student, I wanted my final project to be focused on an important issue. I want to use my skills to assist in an area that would benefit the wider world. This year’s Dietitian’s Week focused on ‘evidence and expertise’. I want to replace unqualified advice with the voices of experienced dietitians and health professionals.

At the end of my project I will have created an e-book – Health Matters, Social Media Matters. It will work as a template for healthcare professionals, whatever stage they are at in their social media journey. If you have helped me in any way with the project you will have free access to the e-book.

How can you get involved?

If you are a dietitian or healthcare professional with a large following, I would be very happy to hear your views and experiences. I am always looking for guest bloggers or videos for the social media pages.

If you are a social media expert, blogger, or feel like have anything to add to the project, I am happy to share any blog posts, graphics or quotes that relate to the project.

So, get in touch if you would like to get involved in any way!
